Avéli™ Cellulite Treatment Explained: What to Expect

Avéli™ Cellulite Treatment Explained: What to ExpectCellulite is a common concern that affects people of all body types. Avéli is an innovative treatment designed to address the structural cause of cellulite rather than just the surface appearance. Understanding how Avéli works helps patients set realistic expectations and feel confident in their decision. Female board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Kristi Hustak, provides Avéli to patients in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas.

What Causes Cellulite

Cellulite forms when fibrous bands beneath the skin pull downward while fat pushes upward, creating dimpling. Topical products and many noninvasive treatments do not address these underlying bands.

Avéli targets the fibrous septa responsible for cellulite formation.

How Avéli Works

Avéli is a minimally invasive procedure performed under local anesthesia. A specialized handheld device is inserted beneath the skin to identify and release the fibrous bands causing cellulite dimples.

By treating the root cause, Avéli smooths the skin from within.

What to Expect During Treatment

The procedure is typically completed in one session and focuses on targeted areas such as the buttocks or thighs. Patients are awake but comfortable. Most treatments take about one hour, depending on the number of dimples treated.

Recovery and Downtime

Recovery is relatively quick. Patients may experience mild soreness, swelling, or bruising that resolves over one to two weeks. Most return to normal activities within a few days.

Results and Longevity

Results are visible once swelling subsides and continue to improve as healing progresses. Because the fibrous bands are permanently released, results are considered long lasting.
