Our Home Care Services
We offer a team of exclusive medical providers from the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery (ACPS) who can visit your home to oversee your post-operative care. This service is particularly beneficial during the early stages of healing when you need the most support. Commonly performed services include:
- Evaluation, adjustment, and fitting of compression garments
- Incision and wound care management
- Prescribed medication overview
- Vital sign monitoring
- Drain management
- Diet and fluid management
These medical assistants and nurses are full-time ACPS employees, often the same professionals you will see in the clinic and speak to on the phone, ensuring improved patient relationships and continuity of care.
Incision Care Management:
Proper care of your surgical incisions is crucial to prevent infection and ensure optimal healing. Our team will clean, dress, and monitor your wounds, providing expert care to promote healing and minimize scarring. They will also educate you on how to manage your incisions between visits.
Drain Management:
Post-surgical drains help to prevent fluid buildup at the surgical site, which can reduce swelling and lower the risk of complications. Our medical providers will empty and clean the drains, monitor the fluid output, and ensure they are functioning correctly. They will also instruct you on how to handle the drains until they are removed.
Prescribed Medication Overview:
Correct medication management is vital for your recovery. Our team will review your prescribed medications, ensure you understand the dosage and timing, and help you manage any side effects. They will also monitor for any potential drug interactions and answer any questions you may have about your medications.
Fitting of Garments:
Compression garments are often essential for reducing swelling and supporting the surgical area during recovery. Our team will ensure that your compression garments are properly fitted and adjusted to provide the necessary support. They will evaluate the fit and make any necessary modifications to enhance your comfort and effectiveness.
Vital Sign Monitoring:
Regular monitoring of vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature can help detect potential complications early. Our medical providers will check your vital signs during each visit, ensuring that your recovery is progressing smoothly and addressing any concerns promptly.
Diet and Fluid Management:
Proper nutrition and hydration play a significant role in your healing process. Our team will provide guidance on maintaining a balanced diet and adequate fluid intake, tailored to support your recovery. They will help you manage any dietary restrictions and ensure you are getting the necessary nutrients to promote healing.
