Procedure
After you are placed under general anesthesia, your surgeon will begin the procedure by placing an incision around your areolas or under the breast fold. Through this incision, they will perform breast augmentation by placing the saline or silicone implants under your chest muscle.
Once the implants have been placed into the surgical pockets created to accommodate them, the surgeon will create another incision that goes down vertically from the lower part of the areola to the breast crease. Through this incision, they will excise your loose breast skin and tighten the tissue to create firmer and lifted breasts.
Depending on the situation, your surgeon may also decide to resize and reposition the areolas to a raised, more youthful position. Once the surgery is completed, they will carefully close the wounds with dissolvable or removal sutures and wrap your breasts in bandages.
