Radiesse comprises of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) gel microspheres that immediately start working on injecting. CaHa comprises of calcium and phosphate ions that naturally occur in the human body. The injectable gel starts working by volumizing the targeted areas.
With time, CaHa begins stimulating collagen in the body to empower the skin to build natural filler. The gel contains oxygen, hydrogen and carbon for creating a structure that mimics the body’s connective tissue.
Eventually, CaHa is absorbed back in the body leaving collagen as a residue. Treatment results can last anywhere for a year or two.
