Skin Laxity: The skin on the buttocks must have enough elasticity for a successful BBL operation. If there is any major sagging of the back tissue, the outcome will not be as ideal. Good Health: Patients undergoing BBL surgery must be in proper health to endure anesthesia and recovery. It is also a requirement to stop smoking and drinking prior to the operation and throughout the healing period to prevent any issues.
Body Fat: Brazilian butt lift is a fat grafting process that requires the extraction of fat cells from another part of the body—commonly the abdomen, sides, or thighs—via liposuction. This fat must then be processed and purified before being injected into the buttocks, with the surgeon needing a minimum of three to four times the amount of fat to be injected. Since the body may metabolize and remove the injected fat cells, this process is not suitable for those with minimal extra fat stores.
